Excursion #1 (Wednesday, July 13th, 8:00am-5:00pm)
Spend a full day exploring Bartlesville, a jewel on the Oklahoma prairie. We will stop first at Price Tower, Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie Skyscraper and current applicant for UNESCO World Heritage recognition. A tour guide will speak to us briefly about the significance of the structure and there will be an opportunity to take photographs. We then head to Frank Phillips' Woolaroc Ranch, where we will eat a barbeque lunch in the dining room of his family lodge (included in the tour price). Woolaroc is home to exotic animals and a museum housing an amazing collection of Western art and artifacts. You might even get to throw a tomahawk or shoot a powder rifle! Photography (without flash) is allowed in the lodge and museum, so there are plenty of great photo opportunities. For more information visit www.pricetower.org and www.woolaroc.com. Cost $50.00; limited to 50 attendees.
