Mackinac Island Trip
Experience a Michigan historical treasure--Mackinac Island. After a pleasant 2 hour bus ride, our first stop will be at the south end of the "Mighty Mac," the Mackinac Bridge, for fantastic views of this spectacular structure. Then board a ferry boat for transport to Mackinac Island. Since "horseless carriages" are not allowed on the island, tours are available by the horse-drawn variety. Go back in time and tour the Grand Hotel, site of the movie "Somewhere in Time," rent a bicycle and take a ride around the island, fire the massive cannon and hear and feel the rifles fire at Fort Mackinac or enjoy butterflies from around the world at two beautiful butterfly houses. No Mackinac Island trip is complete without visiting Mackinac Island State Park, a landscape characterized by high limestone bluffs, vibrant forests and mystical geological formations. Also, don't forget to try the fudge: a Mackinac Island staple! Our bus will cross the Mackinac Bridge on the way back to the hotel. All meals and fees for attractions are on your own. Suggested Attire: casual, light jacket or sweatshirt and walking shoes -- cameras are a must for this activity.

Departs at 8:00 AM; Returns at approximately 8:00 PM. Cost: $70
